Hitman: Absolution is a stealth game being developed by IO Interactive and published by Square Enix.It is the fifth entry in the Hitman game series, and will run on IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier 2 game engine. The developers have confirmed that Absolution will be aimed at a wider audience than earlier. It will be easier to play and more accessible, but still retain a very strong, hardcore side as well.It has been set for a November 20 2012 release.

Gameplay

It has been confirmed that the game will take place in the United States,[4] and will feature an online option.[5] In addition, the game will feature "instinct mode" which will allow 47 to predict enemy patrol routes, much like the 'sonar vision' that was featured in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction and "detective mode" in Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The first in-depth trailer for the game shows Agent 47 storming a safehouse, and confronting Diana while she is showering. 47 is "betrayed by those he once trusted and now hunted by the police, he suddenly finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth". At least one portion of the game will be set in Chicago, and it has been confirmed that the rest of the game will take place within the United States. Hitman: Absolution is set at the end of the timeline. Confirmed plot details include series protagonist Agent 47 assassinating his former International Contract Agency handler Diana Burnwood early in the game[7] and the antagonist identified as Blake Dexter, a new character to the series. The character will be voiced by Keith Carradine.

Though plans to continue the Hitman franchise were first announced in 2007, it was not until May 2009 that Eidos confirmed the game was in development.[14] Certain plot details for the game were rumored in 2009, stating that the game's story would lead Agent 47 to a low point from which he would have to rebuild himself.[15] On 20 April 2011, Square Enix filed the trademark for the name Hitman: Absolution in Europe, leading sites to speculate that it would be the name of the fifth Hitman game.[16] On 6 May 2011, a teaser trailer[17] was released, confirming the title: Hitman Absolution. The trailer briefly showed Agent 47 attaching a suppressor and a rattle snake coiled around his signature Silverballer pistol.

Controversy

On 29 May 2012, a cinematic teaser trailer, produced by Square Enix's CGI studio Visual Works, titled "Attack of the Saints" was released.[26][27] The trailer's depiction of "gun-toting, PVC-clad nuns being killed in a hail of bullets" sparked outrage and controversy over the allegedly sexist portrayal of women.IO Interactive's Tore Blystad, the game's director, later apologized, stating they're "sorry that we offended people" and that it "was truly not the intention of the trailer."

Borderlands 2 is an upcoming space western first-person shooter with role-playing elements and the sequel to 2009's Borderlands. It is currently under development by Gearbox Software for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

Borderlands 2 builds upon the gameplay elements introduced in its predecessor. It is a first-person shooter that includes character-building elements found in role-playing games, leading Gearbox to call the game a "role-playing shooter." At the start of the game, players select one of four new characters, each with a unique special skill and with proficiencies with certain weapons.From then on, players take on quests assigned through non-player characters or from bounty boards, each typically rewarding the player with experience points, money, and sometimes a reward item. Players earn experience by killing foes and completing in-game challenges (such as getting a certain number of kills using a specific type of weapon).

 As they gain levels from experience growth, players can then allocate skill points into a skill tree that features three distinct specializations of the base character.

Returning gameplay features from the first game will include the 3-branch skill trees, class-mods, and four-player online cooperative modes. New features include a more expansive and customizable weapons system, reworked four-seat drift-able vehicles and vehicle physics elements, and dynamic quest systems. For example, taking too much time to save a friend in a quest may result in their death and the failure of the quest, which will affect the story as the player progresses. Technically, the game world will be all connected, rather than loadable levels for each region, allowing accurate viewing of the entire world from a given point rather than the first game's premade "Skybox."

In addition, the AI system has been reworked for the game. Non-enemies will populate the game world more often and will travel around different locations depending on the time. Enemy AI will encourage teamwork, such as flanking, as well as taking cover when wounded, though lower level enemies like Psychos will still embrace the mentality of, "Wow that's a gun! Shooting enemies will stun or cripple them depending on where they are shot. For a change, enemies will be intelligent enough to climb and traverse difficult terrain to pursue the player. Borderlands 2 begins with the player fighting to the death to win a priceless cache of loot in a gladiatorial tournament run by Handsome Jack for his personal amusement. The player succeeds and gains notoriety, but Handsome Jack sees this as a threat to his popularity with the people. At the tournament's end he denies the reward and leaves the player for dead in a tundra. The mysterious Guardian Angel from the first game then contacts the player and explains that Handsome Jack must be killed, directing the player to rescue the four original vault hunters from Hyperion's clutches to accomplish this. Although Jack's full intentions are unknown, part of his plan involves finding an ancient evil named "The Warrior" that is located somewhere on Pandora.

Like the first game, there are four playable characters in the game, though the characters are all new. The first new character is Salvador, nicknamed "Gunzerker" who resembles Brick from the first game in abilities, but also can dual-wield any combination of guns.[4] The second character is a siren named Maya, similar to Lilith from the first game, but has a different ability to Lilith called Phaselock.

The other two characters are a commando character called Axton, who relies on turrets like Roland from the first game and an assassin character called Zer0, whose ability creates a decoy of himself and becomes invisible for a short time, where he can unleash a critical hit on an enemy with his sword or gun. Non-playable characters Guardian Angel and Claptrap return to aid the player during quests. On August 2, 2011, the game was officially confirmed and titled as Borderlands 2, with Anthony Burch announced as the writer the next day. Dead or Alive 5 is an upcoming fighting game in the Dead or Alive franchise. It is the first game in the series to see a multi-platform release since Dead or Alive 2 and the only one to be released simultaneously for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as the first in the series to be released for the Xbox 360 since Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Fights in Dead or Alive 5 are based on a rock-paper-scissors like interruption system, in which strikes (normal attacks) beat throws, throws beat holds (interception counterattacks), and holds beat strikes, all of such attacks causing extra damage. Development

Dead or Alive 5 is the first console installment of the series that will be developed without the input of series creator Tomonobu Itagaki. It is also the first installment to be released for the PlayStation 3. Rumours about the game being developed also for the PS3 have circulated already by January 2010.GameSpot has listed the game as being exhibited by Tecmo Koei at their booth during the E3 2010.

Demo

A demo of the game, packaged with Ninja Gaiden 3, features four playable characters. The story of Halo 4 will be focused less on the Halo series' traditional straightforward first-person shooter genre, instead relying more on mystery, exploration and discovery.[15] Developers described the game as being grand in scope and scale. Forerunner elements will be featured extensively in the game's environment. The art director for Halo 4 is Kenneth Scott. He described the visual style of Halo 4 as being more ingrained in the expanded universe fiction, and more "mature" than before. The team has performed many live audio recording sessions, several of which occurred in Tasmania, Australia. Some of these recording sessions have taken place in generally inhospitable environments, such as underwater, in fire, and in ice, through the use of specially designed microphones;other recording sessions have utilized "home made" explosives. Tojima intends for the game's audio to be clearly grounded in the Halo universe, while also having a more realistic quality than in past titles.

On April 11, 2012, it was announced that British record producer and score composer; Neil Davidge would be the lead composer for the soundtrack of Halo 4.Davidge is best known for his work as a co-writer and producer for Massive Attack, and has also composed the scores for a number of films.Davidge intends to add "a touch of romance" to the score as well as adding more electronic sounds whilst still keeping it grounded in the Halo universe.

Release

Halo 4 will be released in two separate retail versions, branded as "Standard" and "Limited" editions.The Limited Edition will include access to future downloadable content in the form of three competitive multiplayer map packs, containing a total of nine maps.

It will also include digital items for Xbox 360 avatars and in-game Spartan-IVs as well as early access to customization options. A 90-minute extended version of the live action digital series, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn and a UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet are also included with the Limited Edition version.

On July 14, 2012, at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International, Microsoft announced the release of the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 4 console bundle that would launch on November 6, 2012. The bundle features two custom designed controllers, a standard edition of Halo 4, a wired headset, exclusive downloadable content and a Halo 4-themed Xbox 360 containing a 320GB hard drive.It was also announced that Microsoft would be releasing a standalone Xbox 360 Halo 4 Limited Edition wireless controller featuring a different design to the one included in the console bundle.

Promotion

On April 30, 2012, it was announced that a web series, titled Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn would play on Machinima.com and Halo Waypoint during the weeks leading up to the release for Halo 4. The series will contain five live-action shorts, introducing a new character to tie in with the plot of Halo 4.The project is set to be Microsoft's largest investment in a live-action promotion.

At E3 2012, the presentation of Halo 4 was preceded with a live-action segment called "The Commissioning".The trailer was directed by Nicolai Fuglsig and filmed over two and a half days, with four weeks of post-production.Visual effects were added by Method Studios.

New Gameplay Features
Player Impact Engine

The "Player Impact Engine" expands physical play from simple collisions to off-the-ball battles between players. Defenders will push and pull for position, and use their size and strength to win possession or force opponents into poor touches and decisions before the ball arrives.

Tactical Free Kicks

FIFA 13's "Tactical Free Kicks" provides the tools to create dangerous and unpredictable free kicks, by utilising the most skilful players on the pitch. The player will be allowed to position up to three attacking players over the ball and utilise dummy runs and more passing options to create elaborate free kicks. Opponents can counter by adding or subtracting players to the wall, creeping the wall forward, or sending a bullet man to intercept the pass or block the shot.

Attacking Intelligence

All-new "Attacking Intelligence" enables players to analyse space, work harder and smarter to break down defences, and think two plays ahead. Players now possess the intelligence to create, curve, or alter runs in order to capitalise on openings as they occur, make runs that pull defenders out of position in order to open passing channels for teammates and better position themselves for new attacking opportunities.

Commentators

Commentators for FIFA 13 are yet to be confirmed by EA Sports. It is assumed, however, that the commentary in FIFA 13 will be similar to that of the previous version; that is, Martin Tyler and Alan Smith are assumed to be included for FIFA 13's commentary, as well as Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend.

Leagues

Leagues are also yet to be confirmed by EA Sports, although it is again assumed that the leagues found in FIFA 12 will make a return in FIFA 13. According to one source, the Czech Gambrinus Liga and the Turkish Süper Lig will return after a one-year hiatus. The same source continues to mention that the Saudi Professional League will feature for the first time in the series.[1]

National teams are yet to be confirmed by EA Sports, but it is expected that all 42 national teams from FIFA 12 would make it to FIFA 13, in addition to any potentially new additions.
